How to move Somatically:

  • Awareness

    • Relax and breathe

    • Be aware of internal sensations

  • Move

    • Gently

    • Slowly

    • Do not force or strain

    • Completely relax between each movement

    • At least three times

  • Self Regulate

    • Somatics should never be painful!

    • Take care of yourself and take breaks as needed

    • Notice how you feel after your movements
