"The online group sessions I have taken with Ryan have helped me slow down and breathe deeply. I have also experienced more space and aliveness in the body as a result of these sessions.
During one session, I felt my jaw relax so much that my tongue was hanging out of my mouth....I hadn’t realized how much tension I had been holding there! 😀 Even though the movements we had been doing weren’t directly focused on the jaw, the jaw was still affected. This is the beauty of these Somatics sessions... they uncover the truth that the entire body is connected.
Bringing awareness and movement to one part of the body, affects the whole. I appreciate Ryan’s style of teaching in that he invites participants to take their own time with the movements and reminds participants to keep breathing. I also really appreciate how he begins class with a relevant anecdote or theme to help ground the class in an intention and deeper learning."
